When King Scheherzade discovers his wife has been unfaithful, he takes dramatic revenge on womankind, and vows to marry a different woman everyday and then have them killed at night fall.   Shahryar, the daughter of the King’s loyal advisor, has a plan to save the women of her kingdom that involves marrying the king himself.  Once married, she starts to tell him a story, a story so beautifully told that Scheherzade delays Shahryar’s execution.  Indeed, she then goes on to use this format night, after night; captivating the King with her skill for storytelling to such an extent that he begins to soften….

The lower years at Highgate School bring these famous stories to life with great feats of physical theatre, music and dance, in a colourful celebration of the transforming power of art.
