The LaLaLadies were formed in 2016 by members of the local gym, LA Fitness. When it closed down, they wanted to keep their very valuable and mutually supportive social group going. LaLa Ladies’ current conductor, Lynda Richardson suggested that if they couldn’t swim together, perhaps they could sing together, and so started the choir, which is still going strong. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday lunchtimes upstairs at the Vine Pub on the Highgate Road from 12.45-2:00, with optional coffee downstairs beforehand and lunch afterwards. New members are welcome!
LaLa Ladies are regular participants in the North London Festival, have sung in the York Rise Festival, and raise money for local charities such as Camden’s Home Start by singing carols outside Kentish Town Station and in local pubs at Christmas.
