Description: In conjunction with the Highgate Festival Diane will be leading the following special tour of Highgate Village: Discover the history of Highgate with qualified London Blue Badge Tour Guide, Historian and Broadcaster Diane Burstein to hear about some interesting inhabitants past and present. Admire some 17th and 18th century homes which have attracted a wide variety of people including writers, actors, musicians and a Victorian Explorer. Discover the inhabitants of one of London’s hidden mansions. Stroll through Waterlow Park and view Lauderdale House where Charles II is reputed to have left Nell Gwynn. This tour includes the rare opportunity to view the interior of the Highgate School Chapel dating to 1867.
