The St Michael’s crypt will be open for visitors to inspect the 17th century wine cellar behind which is buried the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge and members of his family. A statue of STC will be on public display for the first time, and short lectures on the poet’s life, and death, in Highgate, and his burial at this church. Some of his poetry will be recited, and some specially composed music to some of Coleridge’s poetry will be played.
