HIGHGATE FESTIVAL 19–27 JUNE 2021
Well that’s it… another Highgate Festival done and dusted. It wasn’t the festival we planned as we headed into 2020. In fact there nearly wasn’t a festival at all. But with a little ingenuity, a lot of goodwill and a great deal of enthusiasm, we seemed to have pulled it off. Not everything worked as we’d intended, and we’ve learned plenty by going digital, but we hope we’ve made a positive contribution to Highgate, its environs and the community as a whole.
We’d like to thank everyone who got involved: our kind sponsors Don Ciccio, GAIL’s, the Ham&High, Camden Council, Highgate School, our founding partner the Highgate Neighbourhood Forum and Neil and Salome Golding for their kind donation.
Thanks also to everyone who put on an event, made a film or recording, or shared their expertise on Zoom and other digital channels. It really demonstrates the incredible breadth and depth of talent, skill, knowledge and expertise we have around us.
And thank you to all the local businesses that put posters up in windows, stayed open through lockdown or have opened up in new circumstances to keep our community fed, watered and supported.
We’re already talking about what we’ve learned and what HF2021 could look like. We’d welcome any feedback – things to keep on doing, and things we need to change. Please drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stay safe, stay well, stay Highgate!
The Highgate Festival Team
Our thoughts are already turning to next year’s Highgate Festival, and how to plan for it when we don’t know what 2021 will bring.
The Festival, now in its fourth year, celebrates the breadth and variety of Highgate – its history, residents, buildings, culture, sustainability, gardens, businesses, local talent and creatives.
The Highgate Festival encompasses every corner of Highgate. Our aim is to bring together and connect the community, boost Highgate’s economy and support our local artists, cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops.
This joyful celebration of Highgate, is organised by a small group of locals who generously commit their time to the Festival’s creation and coordination.
We’d welcome any feedback – things you’d like to see more, and things we need to change.
