HF 2020
Highgate Festival 2020 didn’t turn out how we planned at the start of the year. In fact there nearly wasn’t a festival at all. But with a little ingenuity, a lot of goodwill and a great deal of enthusiasm, we pulled it off. Not everything worked as we’d intended, and we’ve learned plenty by going digital, but we hope we’ve made a positive contribution to Highgate, its environs and the community as a whole.
Festival highlights included the wonderful entries you submitted to #LockdownLife and our series on High Street Heroes, as well as all the events listed below.
We’d like to thank everyone who got involved: our kind sponsors Don Ciccio, GAIL’s, the Ham&High, Camden Council, Highgate School, our founding partner the Highgate Neighbourhood Forum and Neil and Salome Golding for their kind donation.
Thanks also to everyone who put on an event, made a film or recording, or shared their expertise on Zoom and other digital channels. It really demonstrates the incredible breadth and depth of talent, skill, knowledge and expertise we have around us.
And thank you to all the local businesses that put posters up in windows, stayed open through lockdown or have opened up in new circumstances to keep our community fed, watered and supported.
