Dangerous Freedom book launch: SOLD OUT

Lawrence Scott, FRSL, the award winning local author from Trinidad & Tobago will be in conversation with Nicole Rachelle-Moore, cultural consultant with the George  Padmore Institute, and reading from his new novel Dangerous Freedom published by the Caribbean/London based Papillote Press.

Dangerous Freedom is a novel based on local 18th century history of Highgate and Hampstead, portraying the life and times of the mixed-race woman, Dido Belle, who lived at Kenwood House with Lord and Lady Mansfield.  This is a new perspective on her life from the point of view of Dido when she is a married woman, Elizabeth d’Aviniere, telling the story of her past and her present life.

Books will be on sale by the famous, 55 year old Finsbury Park, black-owned Bookshop, New Beacon Books.
